Our ‘Youth in Diplomacy’ program aims to promote an understanding of diplomacy and international affairs by connecting young people with professional diplomats and experts to learn about international affairs. For one week in Rwanda, participants will be meeting diplomats and experts who will share their experiences working in the field. Participants will learn about international affairs and how diplomacy works.
The 2016 program will run in Rwanda from June 27-30. We are planning to visit the Egyptian Embassy, Netherlands Embassy, European Union Delegation in Rwanda, Russian Embassy, UNICEF Rwanda, United States of America Embassy, Chinese Embassy, Kenyan Embassy, Swedish Embassy and the Rwandan Parliament.
You are eligible to apply if you are:
- Between the ages of 18 and 25
- Have never participated in the program before
- Can speak and understand English
- Can pay for your own transport during meetings
- Have knowledge of global issues
